The challenge
Commissioned by Waterschap Scheldestromen, we produced a video about the use of electric equipment in the dike reinforcement at Hansweert. This large-scale infrastructure project focuses on sustainability and CO₂ reduction. The video is part of a broader video series highlighting different aspects of the project, such as the execution of the dike reinforcement, explanation of the construction process, and important milestones. The aim was to show how the water authority works towards sustainable execution within a major infrastructure project. The film is intended for residents and stakeholders around the project, as well as partners in the hydraulic engineering sector.
Our role
For this production, we worked closely with the water authority's project team. The content framework was prepared by the client, which we then translated into a video plan. The video combines interviews with project participants and practical footage from the construction site. Since many participants are not accustomed to speaking on camera, we guide them during filming so they can tell their story clearly and naturally. By combining interviews, atmospheric shots, and footage of the equipment in use, the video captures both the ambitions and the execution of sustainable measures.
The result
The final video is structured so that different segments can also be used independently within project communications. We also provided subtitles and SRT files to ensure the video meets digital accessibility requirements. This allows the material to be used for communication with residents and stakeholders, as well as for knowledge sharing in future dike reinforcement projects.
